Jim Leavy is the owner of JPL Advisors and has served as Sarasota’s local GEICO Exclusive Agent since opening the agency doors in February 2008. A proud Florida resident for over 47 years and a Florida State University graduate, Jim brings more than two decades of dedicated insurance expertise to drivers, homeowners, and families across the Suncoast.

Under Jim’s leadership, JPL Advisors is built on a foundation of honest advice, long-term relationships, and dependable service. He and his team specialize in simplifying the insurance process, helping policyholders secure maximum savings, and ensuring every client gets coverage tailored to their lifestyle.

Outside the office, Jim has been happily married for 32 years and is the proud father of two grown children. When he isn’t helping clients protect what matters most, you’ll likely find him on the golf course, exploring regional hiking trails, or enjoying everything the Florida outdoors has to offer.

A Bradenton native with historical Manatee County roots, Sandy leverages decades of local insight to help Suncoast residents secure coverage tailored to their needs. She understands the unique challenges of Florida driving—from I-75 commutes, love bugs, to local weather patterns—this allows her to ensure our clients are always prepared.

Sandy is a highly credentialed financial professional, holding insurance licenses in Property & Casualty (2-20) and Life & Health (2-15), in Florida and 24 other states. Sandy is also a Public Notary.

Born and raised right here in Florida, Stacey has been a dedicated team member at GEICO since 2014. As the welcoming face of our Sarasota office, she is usually the first person you meet when you walk through our doors, setting a friendly and helpful tone for local drivers across the Suncoast. With a deep background in customer service, Stacey handles the core of our daily client care, walk-in inquiries, and policy payments. She excels at simplifying insurance management for our policyholders—whether that means walking you through a complex billing question, updating your vehicle coverage, or helping you navigate the features of the award-winning GEICO Mobile App. Having spent her entire life in the Sunshine State, Stacey takes pride in providing our community with clear answers and stress-free service. When she isn't assisting clients in the office, Stacey loves making the most of the Florida weather by relaxing poolside and spending quality time with her family.
Raeanna Staples

Licensed since early 2016, Raeanna Staples brings a decade of insurance experience and a deep commitment to customer service to our GEICO Exclusive Agency team. Having grown up competing across the Sunshine State, Raeanna understands the real-world demands of local driving—from navigating daily coastal commutes along I-75 and US-41 to helping families protect their vehicles against Florida’s unique weather and road hazards. Before entering the insurance industry, Raeanna was an accomplished competitive golfer, winning the Florida State Junior Girls Championship and competing at the national level. That same athletic discipline, focus, and sharp attention to detail shape her approach to policy service today.
